The Brethren moons or the species that controls them, are what we would call the absolute polar opposite of chads. As they suck up entire planets biospheres, they must first conquer a species so that the species during turn a not so insignificant arsenal against them as they arrive. One such way, is to induce psychological damage. As the Ishimura begins to have an outbreak of necromorphs, one such horror would show up known as the Lurker.
