Over the last 52 weeks we've published 52 videos on YouTube. This has been a wonderful experience, but we think we can make a bigger impact by focusing on quality over quantity in 2021. That's why starting today, we are shifting focus on a new series of full-length episodes shot and formatted for distribution on streaming platforms.

Patreon supporters will get the entire season for free when it's released next year — without them, we couldn't do this. Our plan is to present the witnesses of unidentified phenomena in a way that has never been done before, and as a result, reduce the stigma of reporting UAP encounters. The Salamanca Incident | U.S. Intelligence Tracks Close Encounter of the Third Kind in 1974

Five years after the closing of Project Blue Book, U.S. intelligence was still paying attention to unidentified aerial phenomena. Declassified files from 1974 show something even stranger — monitoring of a Close Encounter of the Third Kind, a case involving 6 1/2 foot tall occupants of disc-shaped craft.

The case occurred in Western Spain, in the province of Salamanca. A Defense Intelligence Agency analyst compiled an account of this and other strange sightings from that year, and sent them to European Command and other "parties interested."

The witness, Maxi Iglesias, claims U.S. officials visited the site to analyze trace evidence left behind, telling him they were from "NASA." For years, this was laughed off, but we now know officials really were monitoring the case.

The Ontario Barbells | DoD Contractor Sees Unidentified Object with Strange Symbols

In August 2013, witnesses 1, 2 and 3 were driving on a remote logging road in Ontario, Canada. They had just finished hunting, and were on their way back to camp.

What followed is one of the most interesting close-up encounters with an unidentified object in recorded history. The primary witness is an engineer and has contracts with the Department of Defense, something that has been verified by investigators Phil Leech and Robert Powell.

We spoke with Powell, now with the Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies (SCU), about the case, and why he believes it's so compelling. The primary witness and witness #3 both went on the record to investigators – their testimony, along with a video they recorded, is covered in today's episode.

EMP. Why don't we talk about electromagnetic pulse risks more? Recent U.S. government documents see an attack as not only possible, but the first choice of countries like Iran, Russia, China and North Korea. So much so that an Executive Order in 2019 tasked the Departments of Homeland Security and Energy to assess options to increase "resilience" before and after an attack.

CIA officials think even a moderate sized nuclear weapon detonated at the right altitude above the center of the U.S. could knock out power for most of the country. With no power, food, water, gasoline and telecommunications networks have a likelihood of failing.

A Federal Energy Regulatory Commission report suggests that if just 9 of 55,000 substations in key locations were destroyed and one transformer manufacturer was disabled, the entire U.S. grid “would be down for at least 18 months, probably longer.”

In 2013, an anonymous attack on a Silicon Valley substation knocked out the facility for 27 days — an PG&E official called it a "dress rehearsal."

Former Secretary of Defense Comments on Admiral Wilson UFO Leak

The "Wilson leak" is a set of notes that appeared anonymously online in 2019 claiming Vice Admiral Thomas Wilson met with physicist Eric Davis in 2002 to discuss a black budget program that was reverse engineering craft “not of this Earth — not made by human hands.”

On page 7 of the alleged notes, former Secretary of Defense, William Perry is mentioned. The notes claim Wilson obtained the location of the secret UFO program after talking to Perry about "unacknowledged/carve-outs/waived" Special Access Programs (SAPs).

It's [redacted] reached out to Perry to see if he recalled this conversation, to which his non-profit replied: “Dr. Perry looked over the document, and he does not recall any such meeting as is described, nor does he have any memory of a person by that name. Although he does admit that it had been many years since, and therefore difficult to say whether he would remember if such a meeting had occurred.”

Is it reasonable for Perry not to remember him? And what does this mean for the disputed legitimacy of the Wilson leak? Is there any evidence of a UFO reverse engineering program, or is it all fake? This is explored in today's episode.

The Bariloche Mystery | Pilots See ‘Impossible’ Object

July 31st, 1995. A Boeing 727 carrying 102 passengers is on final approach to the airport of San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina. According to the radio transcripts, flight crew and personnel on the ground witnessed a rapid-moving, luminous…something. In the pilot’s words, “the object has bright flashing lights...this...is...we think it's a flying saucer.”

How many trained observers saw this? Did it perform an "impossible" maneuver seemingly defying the laws of physics? And what did the Fuerza Aérea Argentina (Argentine Air Force) conclude this was? The San Diego Sphere | Full Resolution 12-Minute Tape

This is the full 12 minute, original resolution tape of the unidentified sphere encountered above Rick Ybarra's backyard in 2014. Ybarra spoke to us two weeks ago and explained that he used to be an employee with the Department of Defense.

A distinct metallic appearance, three rod-like appendages and stop/start movement define this case. Ybarra estimated it was 4-6 feet in size and 400 feet above the ground.

He thought it may be a balloon, but the object did display movement different from prevailing winds (8:15-9:30 mark), and didn't appear to be following a consistent path, as a balloon would. Still, the object may display characteristics of something rotating on a tether, though that will probably be up for debate.

Leave "balloon" or "UFO" in the comments, or anything else you'd like to share. The more opinions the better.

The 1950 North Atlantic 'Unknown'

The San Diego Sphere | Witness Testimony

On September 10th, 2014, Rick Ybarra pulled into his driveway near San Diego, CA around 6:45pm when he noticed a sphere in the sky. A retired Department of Defense therapist who worked at Naval Base San Diego and Submarine Base Point Loma, we recently spoke to him about the sighting.

The sphere had four meaningful observables, which were photographed in detail and captured on video:

*Stop/start movement
*Failure to move with the wind
*Metallic appearance
*Seemingly independent moving antennae-like appendages

It was 4-6 feet in size and 400 feet above the ground — Ybarra states he first thought it was a balloon, but slowly moved away from the hypothesis when it failed to move with the wind, and had a distinct metallic shell reflecting the twilight to the west. Ybarra showed the footage to colleagues in his chain of command — they had no explanation.

We sifted through historical archives and found a nearly identical craft in Brazilian Air Force files from 1968.

Days after his 2014 sighting, Ybarra says he felt an "urge" to go outside early in the morning when he noticed a fast-moving, spherical object on the horizon.

The video contains photos and video taken by Ybarra and obtained by it's [redacted] — all footage and witness audio may not be excerpted and reproduced without permission.

The Iranian Mach 10 Sphere | Pilot Chases Anomaly in 2004

A very rare file comes from Iran — on October 28th, 2004, an IRIAF F-14 was ordered to pursue and engage a spherical, luminous, green unidentified aerial phenomenon. When the pilot attempted to lock on, the weapons system and radar would malfunction.

The UAP also showed signs of anomalous acceleration, disappearing and reappearing in different spots in the sky, confirmed by two in the jet and observers on the ground near the Arak Heavy Water Reactor. The object was estimated to go between Mach 7 and Mach 10.

Bizarre True Events That Inspired Call of Duty: Cold War ('Perseus’ Teaser)

The new teaser for Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War was released yesterday. It's the #1 trending video on YouTube despite not showing any gameplay footage.

Why? It may be its backstory, which developers say is inspired by true events — that a Soviet spy codenamed PERSEUS “has infiltrated Western intelligence.”

His goal: to “subvert the U.S. to ensure Soviet dominance in the arms race.”

But, how true is this? Do actual decrypted KGB messages show Perseus was real? Or is what really happened even stranger?

U.S. Neglected Vets in Infamous Nuclear Test Footage

This nuclear test footage is used in countless videos, but there's a disturbing story behind it. The 20,000 soldiers ordered to participate were told to walk toward the blast zone with no protective gear, and no understanding of the long-term health risks.

For decades, the Veterans Administration denied them healthcare coverage for leukemia and other cancers linked to the tests for two reasons: (1) many couldn't prove they attended because records were lost in a fire and (2) their superiors did not hand out enough dosimeters to accurately track ionizing radiation exposure for each soldier.

They were also not given breathing protection, and the Department of Defense did not account for the radioactive dust breathed in by the soldiers (on the desert floor of the Nevada Test Site) despite there being a clear linkage in scientific literature by the 1940s.

Today, academic research has proven a link between the tests and rates of cancer, plus additional risks to children and grandchildren of the soldiers due to genetic changes from the exposure. Yet in the U.S., the only legislation to cover (some) healthcare costs, the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act (RECA), does not cover descendants.

"Atomic veterans," as they are known, are also pushing for a medal for their service and a national holiday. But the Pentagon claims medals cannot be given because their risks taken were not in a combat setting. Likewise, the only "National Atomic Veterans Day" came on July 16th, 1983 and was not scheduled to repeat in annual fashion.

The Most Unsettling U.F.O. Theory?

In June, investigative reporter Tim McMillan told The Basement Office host Steven Greenstreet a source inside the intel/aerospace world claimed UFOs "weren’t flying saucers, they weren’t tic tacs...they were something that possessed the ability to make your mind see what makes sense to you."

Two years earlier, a leaked slide from the Pentagon's Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program, or AATIP, suggested the phenomenon can "manipulate both physical and cognitive environments in order to penetrate U.S. facilities, influence decision makers, and compromise national security."

Tom DeLonge, whose To The Stars Academy is working with AATIP veterans, recently suggested they may represent a disturbing and ancient “control mechanism." Something Jacques Vallée has hypothesized in the past.

Could all of this be related? Might UFOs — the flaming castles of the 1700s, 1897 phantom airships, and more modern saucers and tic tacs — present themselves differently depending on the time period? And do the goals of the phenomenon change over time?

Or... might humankind unknowingly be driving these changes in UFO appearances?

NASA's Missing UFO Reports: Found

The Condon Report, funded by the U.S. Air Force, was published in 1968 and suggested continued study of UFOs would yield no scientific discoveries. Buried in the report, though, are three "unidentifieds" determined to be UFOs seen by astronauts in Earth's orbit in 1965.

The astronauts on Gemini 4 and 7 saw the objects, and after thorough examination, even the Condon analyst deemed them a puzzle and ruled them unknown.

This is curious for two reasons. One: the chapter of astronaut sightings has mysteriously gone missing from many mainstream versions of the report, such as the primary copy on file at the Defense Technical Information Center. It is also missing from the Internet Archive. Only in an obscure Dept. of Commerce database can we find this missing chapter.

Two: NASA's own form letter they sent to UFO inquiries for decades cited the Condon Report as evidence that it didn't need to look at UFOs, and even claimed the astronaut sighings were nothing, at odds with Condon. This comes despite internal memos stating NASA was informally collecting UFO debris under a nicknamed operation "UFOHEAP."

In 1948, a retired Army colonel who previously managed an air base, saw what he described as a large bird the size of a “small pursuit plane" above Alton, Illinois. Several civilians backed this up, including two in Northern Illinois the night before, one of whom called it "prehistoric."

At the time, the typical pursuit plane in the Army Air Force arsenal had a wing span of 34-42 feet, three times that of the largest living bird, the wandering albatross. Only the Hatzgopteryx and Quetzalcoatlus, flying reptiles of the Cretaceous, had wingspans this large — and they've been extinct for millions of years.

Curiously, in the same area as the Colonel's sighting is a mural of a mythological "thunderbird," painted by the ancient Cahokian civilization. Other Native American groups in the Midwest and even as far north as Alaska all tell similar stories of large "thunderbirds" that create thunder with their wings, and are large enough to carry whales with their beaks.

In 1925, indigenous people of the Aleutian Islands described US Army biplanes as “thunder birds” and celebrated when they saw them.

There are hundreds of pages of disputed Majestic 12 documents, many lesser known that came out in the 1990s. Every individual who received these admitted later they believed they were fake, but couldn't be sure how much of the material was added.

Rather than a simple scheme to make money from these, there is testimony from government insiders the Air Force Office of Special Investigations was running a coordinated disinformation campaign meant to mislead ufologists.

Rare Documents Disclose Hints of UFO Crash Retrievals

Why are UFO crash retrievals talked about in the UFO community as a hypothetical? We've put together a significant trail of declassified documents — all public but many obscure — that suggest we're far closer to the truth of UFO crash operations than most think.

From Battelle, a little known metallurgy contractor for the US Air Force, to Project Moon Dust, a space debris retrieval operation, there are many hints the US Government got its hands on exotic technology. But what's missing from this picture? Canada.

While the USG denies any UFO crashes ever took place on its soil, Canada has already disclosed several — but they're rarely, if ever talked about due to the somewhat convoluted way Canadian archives are organized. Thanks to the efforts of Jason Carignan, National Chief Investigator for MUFON Canada, we have three different UFO crash reports, including two where metal was recovered.

One Moon Dust file even shows the the USAF wanted access to crash debris in Canada, which isn't surprising, given both countries' deep relationship with UFO investigations and reporting procedures known as CIRVIS.

In 1988, Coast Guard in Ohio encountered an egg-shaped UAP surrounded by smaller, fast-moving objects that "appeared to be scouting the area," an incident report states. The officials encountered UAPs that approached them, and scared them off by flashing their headlines. Some flew close to a nearby nuclear power plant.

That same year, a witness in Tom's River, NJ saw a black triangle UAP near a power plant there. A year later, a worker at a nuclear power facility in CA called the NUFORC hotline and claimed he and his colleagues saw a strange object emanating "columns of darkness."

Near the end of the 80s, declassified documents also show a plant in East Nebraska encountered a black triangle UAP that hovered over a restricted area for two separate nights, silently, before turning back and flying up river to the North.

How often are UAP seen near nuclear power plants? And why does this occur?

1994 National Weather Service UFO Tapes: ‘My God, What Is This?’

On March 8th, 1994, civilians in western Michigan on the edge of Lake Michigan called 911 en masse about strange lights in the sky, described as mostly cylindrical, moving up and down in altitude, and having a vertical row of lights on them. They appeared to be coordinated, as one caller described them as moving in a circle.

This was backed up by a National Weather Service radar operator in Muskegon, MI, who was contacted by the 911 dispatcher and asked to look into it. In the tapes in this episode, which are in the public domain, you can hear the NWS official remark at the anomalous and possibly coordinated behavior of the objects, which he reported moved together in a triangle.

He states they were not storms or aircraft, and as time passes, he becomes gradually more distressed, as highlighted by the subtitle overlay.

Interestingly, Project Blue Book had several interesting cases in this area of Michigan, including several that civilians described as "metallic," but USAF officials deemed them astronomical in nature or insufficient data for analysis.

Is there an anomalous cluster in this area? And can it be predicted? We're still working on this, as we need to cover MI data with other lakes. We're building a free tool called Sighting, which will help anyone make new conclusions about UAP flaps and all high strangeness encounters. Beta will be shared soon.
